Language: EnglishStorm (1860-1949), who was one of the last surviving speakers of Jersey Dutch (a dialect of Dutch descended from the Dutch of Nieuw Amsterdam and formerly spoken in and around Bergen County, NJ) compiled this glossary of roughly 1600 words from his dialect. It was posthumously published by the Pascack Historical Society nearly two decades after his death in 1949. Although several articles have been published on this language, this is the only monograph that has thus far been published.
