《汉语情景会话》供外国人学习汉语口语之用。全书主要通过人物活动时所出现的场景，反映一定的语言环境，使学习者能够便於理解汉语口语的基础知识，逐步掌握汉语日常交际表达能力。书中只对出现的语言现象作简明扼要的解释，不作语法分析。常用句型列於各课课文的前面，并围绕课文编制了会话练习，以使学习者能够有实际的体验，将理解和使用结合起来，提高学习效率。\n 全书共五十课，分为两个循环。前三十课为第一循环，包括日常交际常用的各方面口语。后二十课在前三十课的基础上，加深了表达。各课之间，既有重点，又在安排上互有照应，注意到词汇和句型的重现率。
