This study is an evaluation of a language corpus of the endangered Resian. By taking into account the word formation and the etymology it is possible to compare the extent to which morphemes and words were borrowed from the neighboring languages in order to draw conclusions about the productivity of word formation patterns and the productivity of the language it-self. After an introduction to the sociocultural and political situation of the Resian, the methodology of the field research is described and finally the evaluation of the language material is presented. The word formation mechanisms are determined by the analysis of nouns agentis, nouns instrumenti and nouns loci from Deverbativa.
