Book Three completes the series Learn Indonesian. We have made a number of departures from the format of the previous books. The most important is the abandoning of the strip sketches as aids to the understanding of the language patterns, as we feel that they are of very limited use at this more advanced stage. We have, however, included more photographs, including some in colour, with captions, in order to stimulate interest and provide a basis for conversation around the topic of the passage. The sentence patterns of each of the five units of study are used initially in a dialogue. Vocabulary notes in Indonesian are provided for words not yet introduced in Books 1 and 2. The new words are defined or explained using only vocabulary previously introduced.
