The Continuum Research Methods series aims to provide undergraduate, Masters, and research students with accessible and authoritative guides to particular aspects of research methodology. Each tide looks specifically at one topic and gives it in-depth treatment, very much in the tradition of the Rediguide series of the 1960s and 1970s.
Such an approach allows students to choose the books that are most appropriate to their own projects, whether they are working on a short dissertation, a medium-length work (15-40000 words) or a fully-fledged thesis at MPhil or PhD level. Each title includes examples of students' work, clear explication of the principles and practices involved, and summaries of how best to check that your research is on course.
The series will also be of use to researchers designing funded projects, and to supervisors who wish to recommend in-depth help to their research students.
