7th Edition. — Focal Press, 1962. — 556 p.Today, T.A.Longmore is famous amongst the medical photography profession. His first text book on the subject was published during World War Two to train military personnel. Post war it expanded to almost 1000 pages and included radiological and clinical aspects. But a shorter version was called for and much of the radiological information was subsequently omitted. Longmore died in 1957 but this shortened version continued to be published as "Longmore's Medical Photography" well into the 1970s, edited by eminent medical photographers Dr Peter Hansell, and Dr Robert Ollerenshaw.As a textbook on medical photography this last edition of "Longmore's Medical Photography" was without equal.
