These plays offer students a chance to put their knowledge of Chinese to work in an authentic Chinese setting, without placing the heavy burden on them that longer, more complex movie scripts might. The book contains five sections for study for each play: Script, the transcription of the plays in both traditional and simplified characters; Vocabulary; Usages and Patterns, which provide examples of grammatical structures found in the scripts; Questions and Answers; and Background Notes.
