BLDC Motor with Hall Sensors and Speed Closed Loop, Driven by eTPU on MPC5554. – 2006.This application note describes the design of a 3-phase Brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive based on Freescale’s PowerPC MPC5554 microcontroller. The application design takes advantage of the Enhanced Time Processing Unit (eTPU) module, which is used as a motor control co-processor. The eTPU completely handles the motor control processing, eliminating the microprocessor overhead for other duties.
