A famous attempt at demonstrating the genealogical relationship between Elamite (spoken during the first millenium BCE in Elam or Susiana, now Khuzestan in Iran) and the Dravidian language family of (southern) India. After three pathbreaking articles (1974, 1975, 1979) McAlpin thought to have reached his goal with this substantial essay. Nevertheless the Elamo-Dravidian connection is still considered disputable. Unfortunately not the best copy (some lines are scarcely readable).
